Dr. Romit Seth is a dedicated plant researcher with a passion for understanding the intricate “Natural Algorithms” governing system biology within plant-environment interactions. With remarkable contributions to plant research, his post-doctoral work at PHHI, under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Massimo Iorizzo, focuses on creation of genetic and genomic resources, a pivotal aspect in uncovering the metabolic pathways of nutritionally important phytochemical compounds in horticulture crop plants. The primary focus of their research revolves around the identification of specific genes involved in the production of these compounds to shed light on the crucial processes that influence the nutritional value and health benefits of plants. With the aim to make a lasting impact on the scientific community and pave the way for further research, Dr. Seth has always been curious to explore the “Natural Algorithms” governing plant-environment interactions and system biology.
